Strip has been used by IT, legal and business professionals for years to keep a complete and secure inventory of their accounts and personal information without worrying about their smartphones and PDAs falling into the wrong hands. Strip is built with a fully encrypted database layer based on open-source technology that we’ve contributed back to the open-source community: SQLCipher.
-
Complete Data Encryption
Unlike other password managers out there, Strip doesn’t cut any corners, encrypting ever piece of information you enter, even account names and system notes.
-
High Security
Strip provides 256 bit page-level encryption of all data using OpenSSL’s AES implementation, along with PBKDF2 password protection. This is security you can trust.
-
Ease of Use
Strip offers a simple interface that follows the Contacts application’s flow, allowing you to arrange and label your data as you like.
-
Password Generator
The built-in random password generator makes it easy for you to create new accounts in Strip as you set up new accounts in real life.
-
Strip Lite
If you want to take Strip for a spin at no cost, give Strip Lite a shot. It’s exactly the same, with a 10 record limit.
-
Palm Strip 2.0
The original version of Strip was for the Palm platform, and it’s still available for free.

The login screen is impenetrable! Provides a big fat numerical keyboard, too, if you decide to use a numeric access code.
Categories
The categories screen is the top level of the data hierarchy. Categories allow you to help keep a large database organized. The icon for each category is chosen by determining what icon you used most on the entries in that category.
Entries
The entry screen allows you to view an account you’ve entered into Strip, and a tap on the Edit button allows you to edit your fields and add new ones of varying data type. You can enter URLs (which are launchable, including tel://, mail://, and ssh://), e-mail addresses, simple text data, numeric data, entire notes, account numbers, what have you.
You can name an entry, set an icon, delete it, or even re-categorize it, when in edit mode.
Password Generator
One of the easiest ways to use Strip is to enter new accounts as you set them up in real life. In order to make this easier, and to make choosing strong passwords easy, we’ve included a password (and PIN) generator with a number of handy options. The more your shake the device, the more random data Strip has to generate a password.
Recents
Sometimes you just want to see lookup that account you created yesterday, and you don’t need to know what category it’s in. Or maybe there’s an account you pull up pretty often. The Recents tab shows you up to 20 of the most recently accessed entries in your database.
Search
We recognize that being able to find things quickly on a mobile device is critical. If it’s not in your Recents tab, tab whatever it is you’re looking for into the Search tab to pull it up. Strip will search across all data you’ve entered to pull up the relevant entries.

Testimonial
Most of the other pretend password keepers, even if they run on the right platforms, are just insecure rubbish. It’s not a question of money – we’d pay for it.
